FROM OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS ...The Veterans Support Organization originally started as a food bank in Rhode Island, and from those humble beginnings in the late 1990's we have become the agency we are today.
The food bank has been merged into our other services, but the need for food, for hungry veterans, is greater now than ever.
Our efforts to feed the hungry veterans of our community extends to our housing programs, where many homeless veterans get their first home-cooked meals after coming off the streets, many who have not eaten well in months or years!
For people in South Florida, the VSO most critically needs food donations at Veterans New Life Haven, for our sober living facility in Fort Lauderdale. You may bring non-perishable goods to the VLNH at 41 Kentucky Avenue, Fort Lauderdale. For those who live in South Florida, the VLNH is located directly behind the Taco Bell, at the corner of Kentucky & Broward Boulevard.

In addition to direct food donations, however, we accept monetary donations that will render aid to food banks and food pantries in the communities served by the VSO. Please, take a moment to read the historical article about the VSO Food Bank in Rhode Island, and please consider a generous monetary donation for our nation's veterans. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!
VSO is a 501(c)(3) organization. The amount of your contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of any money (and the value of any property other than money) contributed by you minus the fair market value of goods or services provided by VSO. Donations are 100% tax deductible if no goods or services were received from VSO as a result of your donation.
YOUR VETERANS SUPPORT CHAPTERThe VSO operates Veterans' Support Organization chapters that serve our nation's veterans across the United States, from Texas to Florida and north to Maine. Visit your local VSO chapter now!
MAKING A DIFFERENCE ... Our goal is simple ... to help our needy Veterans one donation at a time. Who are we? We are the Veterans Support Organization, a group of dedicated veterans and volunteers who have teamed up to accomplish one goal … to help our needy, disabled and homeless Veterans.
As many of you already know, we spend many long, hot days in the sun raising funds by securing a road side intersection also known as a road brigade.
