New Veterans Program to Help Thousands in Florida

In one part of Florida, troops coming home from military service are getting an extra boost in finding work and easing their return to civilian life.

A new program by the American Red Cross, in partnership with United Way of Broward County, is offering veterans a package of aid that can include job and personal counseling, financial assistance, and help with housing, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel

The Transition and Reintegration program, funded by a $300,000 grant from AutoNation of Fort Lauderdale, is a great project. We certainly could use many more of these initiatives across our nation.
